Creative writers will rub their hands with glee at the prospect of acquiring one of NFT’s most limited edition collections ever. The quest for evolution just announced the launch of The Oracle’s Verse, the first-ever “crypto-novel” that allows multiple writers to contribute a short chapter to an ongoing fictional story, adding words, images and music, before reselling it to the next contributor.
The Oracle’s Fresh NFTs are what are known as “evolving NFTs” and they provide an intriguing platform for aspiring writers, who can not only showcase their creativity to a wide audience, but also get paid for it. The NFTs introduce the concept of “write-to-earn”, where all six digital assets in the collection provide passive income for every prior contributor.
The six NFTs, each following a different character’s journey, are unfinished novels. Whoever subsequently acquires the NFT has the right to add up to 200 words to the ongoing story. When they’re done, they can sell the NFT to the next writer, who gets to add another 200 words, and so on ad infinitum.
It really is a never-ending story, but for the writers, the fun part is the evolution of that story. They’ll have as long as they need to put their thoughts on paper and create the next chapter, and they’ll be able to draw on the experience and creativity of past writers through an exclusive Discord channel should they get stuck for ideas.
The Quest of Evolution said the Oracle’s Verse Storytellers offers a new alternative to the extremely rigid and centralized process of writing new novels today. Until this NFT collection was minted, the only way for a writer to get noticed was to write a full novel on his own, or in collaboration with a few others, and then find someone to publish it.
With Oracle’s Verse, their writings will be instantly published on the blockchain and accessible to a community of like-minded writers. So they are guaranteed an audience. Better yet, they’ll also be assured of a share of the proceeds from any future sale, as the NFT’s smart contract enforces royalty payments to all past contributors. In this way, those who contribute one of the first chapters could end up getting a very decent return on their investment.

The Quest of Evolution said that Oracle’s multi-chain Fresh NFTs are now up for auction on the OpenSea marketplace, with a bottom price of 250 MATIC (about $240). The auction will run until June 2, so don’t be surprised if the bidding eventually exceeds that amount by some distance.
Shortly after the Oracle’s Verse NFTs went on sale, The Quest of Evolution plans to launch a second collection representing a series of scholarly essays by T. Dylan Daniel (aka Epic Dylan), the founder of PageDAO, an emerging Web3 writing and publishing community. Also on the roadmap is a crime fiction-based crypto novel that will begin with a collaboration between the musician Zep and writer Joseph Nassise, a best-selling author who has published more than 60 novels.
