Telos, an advanced L1 chain for low-cost, scalable, and high-speed infrastructure, is working on multisig needed to enable BLS Signature Aggregation on mainnet. The network upgrade underlines an important development over the years. In its official announcement on social media, Telos mentioned that node operators will need to update the systems they use to Leap v5+ or Spring v1.2.2. On the other hand, not performing this update prior to activation will halt the affected node after enabling BLS.
Block Producers now process the multisig to enable BLS Signature Aggregation on the Telos mainnet.
All node operators must upgrade to Spring v1.2.2 or Leap v5+.

Telos Processes Multisig for Exclusive BLS Signature Aggregation Upgrade
For the mainnet activation of the BLS Signature Aggregation upgrade, Telos now handles multisig. The upgrade marks an important step in Telos’ network development. As a result, the platform has advised node operators to formally update their respective systems to Leap v5+ or Spring v1.2.2 before the activation goes live
On the other hand, if a non-producer or producer fails to deploy the upgrade, their node will stop working once BLS is fully enabled. Furthermore, the introduction of the BLS Signature Aggregation is expected to unlock a robust new wave of privacy-focused and zero-knowledge applications. With signature validation and aggregation optimization, the platform aims to improve throughput, overall transfer efficiency, and scalability on the mainnet.
Strengthening Telos’ leading position in Zero-Knowledge and Privacy innovation
According to Telos, this move also positions the platform as an attractive hub for developers building advanced privacy protocols, confidential smart contract mechanisms, and zk-powered tooling. Furthermore, builders are expected to use the improved cryptographic framework to develop scalable, efficient, and secure decentralized tools. As the network implements BLS Signature Aggregation, it ultimately cements its status as a prominent blockchain infrastructure for next-gen zero-knowledge and privacy innovation.
