Neo Global Development has planned two new events as learning opportunities for Neo APAC Hackathon participants. The first event is a panel discussion on NFTs, while the second is a Python smart contract development workshop.
NFT panel
The NFT panel is scheduled for July 17 at 3:00 AM (UTC) and will be hosted on Neo’s Twitter Spaces. Entitled “Redefining Value, Authenticity, and Digital Interactions,” this event aims to explore the latest trends, potential use cases, and future prospects of NFTs.
The discussion will be moderated by NGD Marketing Officer Rebecca, with special guests Steven Liu, Chief Technical Officer at NGD, Carter Quan, team member at OKX Web3, and Rudy Rong, CEO at KaratDAO. The panel offers participants the opportunity to gain insights from industry experts and community members on the transformative role of NFTs in the digital world.
Python workshop
Following the NFT panel, the hackathon continues on July 18 at 12:00 AM (UTC) with its second in a series of workshops. This workshop, which delves into the development of smart contracts in Python, is hosted by Erik van den Brink, a software developer from COZ. COZ is the maintainer of Neo’s Python tooling suite, which includes Mamba and Boa.
Held on the Neo YouTube channel, the session aims to guide participants through the process of writing Neo smart contracts in Python, one of the most popular programming languages today. As with the previous Go workshop, the event is not exclusive to hackathon participants, and all interested individuals are welcome to join the learning experience.
The Neo APAC Hackathon
The Neo APAC Hackathon is an initiative designed to boost the growth of Web3 in the Asia Pacific region. This event runs from July to October 2023 and offers more than $1,100,000 in prizes and grants. With virtual sessions, ground ‘GAS stations’ in five major cities and a grand finale in Hong Kong, the Hackathon aims to attract innovative Web3 startups to the Neo ecosystem.
