The Retail Giant Lotte Group in South Korea has taken a big step in blockchain. The marketing and communication, arm, Daehong Communications, has officially launched a tokenized voucher system on the APTOS blockchain.
Daehong has issued more than 1 million Real-World vouchers on the chain via the subsidiary platform Giftiel. The rollout started at the beginning of July 2025 and has already attracted more than 500,000 users. These users now have on blockchain-based vouchers without having to communicate directly with crypto tools or portfolios.
This movement marks one of the largest real-world blockchain integrations in the voucher and loyalty economy of South Korea.
Full blockchain -integration via aptos
The APTOS chain now feeds the entire life cycle of the voucher, issue, distribution and redemption. According to the company, the aim is to streamline the capital flow with the help of blockchain rails, while the user experience is worked without frictions.
Giftile users do not manually manually manage portfolios or tokens. The onboarding to web3 is done in the background, thanks to the invisible infrastructure layer of APTOS. This design lowers the access barriers and helps to use traditional consumers with convenience to use blockchain-supported services.
APTOS shared the development on X (formerly Twitter) and stated that “from coupons to stablecoins, the future of finance on aptos.”
Future plans: points, digital assets and stablecoins
The tokenized voucher rollout is just the beginning. Daehong has confirmed that this ‘capital flow’ -blockchain -ecosystem will soon expand. Future phases are aimed at supporting points, digital assets and even stablecoins in the wider activities of Lotte Group.
Given the reach of Lotte in the retail, hospitality and finance, this expansion could create one of the largest blockchain ecosystems for consumers in Asia. With more than 5 million users who are already on Giftile, the potential impact is considerable. The integration can again define how consumers deal with promotions, rewards and even currency, without ever knowing that they are on a blockchain.
A victory for Mass Web3 acceptance
The movement of Lotte shows how traditional companies can use blockchain on a scale without burdening the end user. It also shows the ability of APTOS to support high volume, Real-World applications.
If this rolls out, it could set the tone for other Asian giants to jump in. Companies that want to modernize their rewards and payment systems without breaking things can see this as their cue.
