The pseudonymous lead developer of Shiba Inu (SHIB), Shytoshi Kusama, has broken his silence and re-engaged the community via Telegram, providing insight into the project’s development path and responding to pressing questions about its future.
In a fit of to informKusama revealed his enthusiasm and strategic commitments aimed at strengthening the Shiba Inu ecosystem. “I’m excited to see ALL the incredible projects at Shibarium. Finally, come out of silent mode for all the great projects out there,” he said, outlining the ongoing work and collaborations undertaken during his period of silence.
He further revealed dialogues with crucial figures in the ecosystem, saying: “I have spoken to VERY important individuals and some top figures. [people] in [the] community for the next phase. Now I can return and support in any way I can as we continue to build.”
Kusama’s comments suggest a phase of introspection and strategic alignment, as he said: “We have also been working on platforms to support the community and begin this network state. Sometimes silence is the best weapon.”
Great progress for Shiba Inu, Leash, Shibarium
One of the most important updates concerned the LEASH token. Kusama outlined a vision where the community is more involved and informed. “Yes. My plan is to build a framework that expresses to the community what YOUR plans, products and platforms using leash are… so we can all MOVE ON. (DYOR) Good plan huh?” he noted, highlighting the essence of decentralization. “This is the lull before the typhoon and I can’t wait to learn more about all the fantastic projects being built with Leash, Shib, Bone or launched on Shibarium. ”
Regarding Shibarium’s low usage, Kusama gave his perspective on broader market trends and the utility of tokens. He explained the relationship between token “burns” and usability, noting: “Please understand that the ‘burn’ increases as the use of Shibarium and Shib (and all tokens in the ecosystem) increases. That’s why I started looking for ways to expand its use with others in our decentralized community at a zoomed-out level.”
Kusama also addressed the community’s questions about specific timelines for major developments, advocating for a broader, philosophical perspective on time, indicating that rigid timelines may not be the most effective approach in a complex and evolving ecosystem. He said, ‘Because time is infinite. It cannot be framed. BUT if you like watching the waves of the world, then you know what time it is.
A question about integrating Shiba Inu into mainstream payment systems such as McDonald’s and Burger King received a pragmatic response, recognizing the existing challenges with such integrations. “It is available at tens of thousands of retailers, but payment systems require deeper thinking and integration,” Kusama explained, citing ongoing strategic deliberations.
A notable exchange occurred when a user mentioned the need for the Shibarium Key for integration with Hoichi, highlighting the importance of community-driven initiatives.
The Shiba Inu-based project stated that they have “30 active blockchains already waiting to connect to Shibarium,” but the key is missing. “I think the Shibarium team reached out and there was some confusion about what was needed. Please reach out again,” Kusama advised.
At the time of writing, SHIB was trading at $0.00000722. Remarkably, SHIB managed to close above the neckline of the weekly chart’s descending triangle, which could create new bullish momentum. The next target could be the falling trend line of the triangle.
