This week, STEPN announced its partnership with Adidas to introduce a collection of NFT sneakers. Known for its gamifying wellness, this move-to-earn platform has joined forces with the global sports brand to create a limited collection of generative NFT sneakers inspired by Adidas’ iconic running silhouettes.

The 1000 STEPN x adidas Genesis sneakers, along with STEPN’s lightning bolt logo and adidas’ signature three stripes, are minted on the Solana blockchain, making each pair unique. This drop marks the first step in a year-long partnership between the two brands, which promises a mix of physical items and digital products.
According to Shiti Manghani, CEO of STEPN by FSL, the collaboration aims to strengthen both brands’ Web3 communities and promote active lifestyles.

Manghani revealed that the integration goes beyond NFTs and also includes collaborative app features aimed at motivating and encouraging running. She emphasized: “The partnership underlines the power of earning rewards in both the virtual and real worlds simultaneously.”
With STEPN having five million registered users since its launch in 2021, the partnership benefits from the platform’s merger of Web3 with the gaming and wellness industries. Manghani emphasized, “NFTs are no longer just collectibles; they are an integral part of the gameplay.”
The STEPN x adidas Genesis Sneakers collection will be available on the MOOAR marketplace, priced at 10,000 in STEPN’s native GMT token (equivalent to approximately $3,000). This price reflects STEPN’s floor price, currently 19,000 GMT.
Distribution of the collection will begin on April 17 with a two-phase lottery, with the first phase targeting members of the ALTS by Adidas Web3 community and eligible members of the broader FSL community. The public sale runs from April 18 to 21.
This collaboration follows STEPN’s previous collaboration with Steve Aoki’s AoK1Verse ecosystem and adidas Originals’ collaboration with BAPE on a limited-edition sneaker paired with a digital double NFT release. As the boundaries between physical and digital realms blur, the Genesis Sneakers NFT Collection represents a quantum leap toward the intersection of Web3 wellness and haute couture.
