Do you know smart contracts?
Those little lines of code that automatically manage your money and identity in the world of Web3?
Maybe a no-brainer for some, but ah:
Don’t let ChatGPT encode it for you.
Sure, it’s kind of funny when you ask ChatGPT to write you a book report and it immediately hallucinates and fills it with false facts and false statements.
But it’s not so funny when similar creative liberties are required when writing a smart contract. That can lead to security issues.
And if you don’t want to hear it from us, take it from Kang Li, chief security officer at blockchain security firm CertiK:
“You write something and ChatGPT helps you build it, but because of all these design flaws, it can fail miserably if attackers come along”
OK, now you know!
