Crypto Exchange Hashkey launches its first AI-driven product, Modai. The company is also planning to expand its product with AI agents who can act on the blockchain.
On 3 April, the Crypto Exchange, established in Hong Kong, took his first step in the field of artificial intelligence with the release of his latest product, Modai. According to the official website, Hashkey’s Modai has been designed to moderate content, generate virtual avatars, to communicate with users such as chatbot and offer customer support.
According to a report from SCMP, the company stated that the AI-driven tool could possibly reduce operational costs by 80% and double user involvement. Modai uses a combination of large language models or LLMS, consisting of Deepseek, OpenAi, anthropic and meta platforms.
The AI tool can respond to users in different languages, ranging from Chinese, English, Japanese and Vietnamese. The company is planning to add more languages to its knowledge base later within this year.

Hashkey’s vice-president of the product and head of the AI team, Sean Wang, said that the crypto company was initially planning to develop its own LLM, but decided not to do this because of the high costs needed to make one.
On the other hand, Wang said that the company intends to expand his AI tool with AI agents who can perform different tasks for users. One of the tasks that Hashkey (HSK) hopes that his AI agents can do in the future is automatically investing in crypto -activa based on the capital of a user and goal return, Wang explained.
AI agents have been a hot topic in crypto spaces while traders are attracted to the convenience and innovations that these agents have offered when managing their finances. However, some also criticize their usefulness and function in the crypto community.
Recently co-founder of Binance Changpeng “CZ” Zhao said that the developers of AI agent usually spend too much time on developing a token for their AI agent instead of the use of the agent. That is why he advised developers to make a “really good agent first” before launching a token.
Earlier in January, CZ also criticized AI chatbots for bringing “lazy” because they can only tell users what they already know, instead of being able to provide new information.
“The problem with AI chatbots is that I often don’t know what I don’t know. I don’t know what to ask. It would be good if it could just tell me things I should know. So lazy,” CZ wrote in his post.
Last month, Hashkey launched a new initiative that would judge cryptocurrencies and crypto exchanges in Hong Kong to help the local crypto companies meet the regulating framework of the region for virtual assets.
