The ‘Build on XRPL’ show unveiled a decentralized identity management protocol, idOS, that promises to simplify user onboarding and improve security in the growing world of decentralized finance.
In the 10th episode of the ‘Build on
Julian explained that the core mission of idOS is to enable a seamless identity verification process, where users do not have to constantly confirm their identity.
“We are exploring ways to indicate to the chain that a user’s identity has been verified, essentially creating a digital passport that confirms identification without compromising personal data,”
idOS emphasizes interoperability as its most important feature. The system allows users to integrate with numerous financial modules with a single signature. This functionality positions idOS as as transformative for blockchain technology as the browser is for the Internet, paving the way for future applications yet to be imagined.
As Julian noted: “Just as the early Internet could not predict the vast array of websites and services available, by 2040 we foresee idOS enabling a new generation of financial applications that are as innovative and essential as the applications we use today to rely on. ”
The development of idOS not only demonstrates advances in blockchain technology, but also promises significant advances in user convenience and security, potentially leading to wider adoption of decentralized platforms.
Infinite Block, the only cryptocurrency company in South Korea to obtain a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) license to date, has also announced its support for the open-source public blockchain XRP Ledger (XRPL). With Infinite Block’s recently announced backing, XRPL could potentially enter the South Korean market and reach a new user base.
