CT3 has launched its On-Chain Commerce Ecosystem, a Web3 infrastructure for digital commerce. The company develops blockchain tools for digital product distribution. The system offers companies the opportunity to spend $NFT access keys associated with files stored in decentralized storage.
Sellers upload a digital product to CT3 and receive a $NFT key. The key can then be listed on supported marketplaces. After purchase the $NFT is transferred to the buyer’s wallet, which provides direct access to the file.
The file remains stored in the CT3 system and access is controlled through it $NFT key. The ownership history is recorded in the chain and provides proof of purchase. The platform can also indicate whether a file has already been downloaded using a specific key. This status can help buyers in secondary markets distinguish between unused and redeemed products.
CT3 also introduces merchant authentication and a trust badge system. A basic dispute resolution process is included to reduce fraud risk. Initial integration has been completed with OpenSea, a marketplace for non-fungible tokens.
