- The CEO of Aave recently announced plans to launch new innovative contracts on Lens Network.
- Smart contracts for social feeds and groups, new ERC-20 versions and innovative ERC71 contracts are some highlights.
Decentralized social media platform Lens Network will enhance its features with a new release of smart contracts. Since the project is still in its early stages, CEO Stani Kulachov announced his plans to release innovative smart contracts.
Stani Kulachov is the CEO of one of the top DeFi protocols. Aave came up with the idea of developing Lens Protocol under the umbrella company Avara. When he playfully claimed to be the interim CEO of the social network Twitter, he was briefly banned from Twitter. This incident made Stani Kulachov focus on the need for a decentralized social media platform and led to the development of Lens Network.

According to Stani Kulachov’s latest post on X, the team plans to release a new set of innovative smart contracts on the decentralized social media platform. Some of the new features they will be focusing on include improving their social platform with feeds, groups, charts, and username rules features.
Releasing new versions of ERC20 and ERC71 contracts are other notable features of new contracts. Moreover, ICOs/crowdfunding, new bonding curves, governance, points systems and earning programs are some of their additional features. Since all these developments are open source, Stani Kulachov invited interested developers to accelerate the release process of smart contracts.
The Lens Protocol aims to be at the forefront when it comes to the development of SocialFi. It recently completed a $31 million strategic raise in a funding round led by Lightspeed Faction. This substantial investment will help Lens Network develop a user-friendly, cost-effective and secure platform. With the latest strategic raise and plans to launch new contracts, Lens Network is aiming for mainstream adoption of Web3 SocialFi.
