A Bitcoin farm in Missouri cooks a rare stew: Ranching, Bitcoin and a freedom-driven community. In the center of IT is Ryan Cooper – a Rancher, Libertarian political candidate and community builder who has become one of the key figures that float the Oranje Signal forward in St. Francois County.
I had the chance to sit with Ryan for a full conversation, that was in one YouTube interview of one hour. In it he opens his way to Bitcoin, his faith, his family and the vision he has for the ranch. It is worth listening to anyone who is curious how Grassroots really works in practice.

From politics to meadows
Ryan did not come in politics in the usual way.
“In 2022 there was no challenger for a political office in our entire Southeast Missouri County. So the last day of registrations I used my name to run for the chairing district commissioner as a libertarian.”
That was not about chasing strength – it was about shiny light where there was none. As Ryan says, politics can be an amplifier, but the real revolution comes up. Even a “losing” campaign increases the signal.
In the meantime, his family continues to live and work on the Ranch, in support of local farmers and homesteaders, connected to butcher shops and distributors and a circular economy together. Beef here is not just eating; It is sovereignty.

Lunch, late nights and honest stories
I met Ryan for the first time on the Bitcoin Hub and later hung with him at the BTCHEL conference. In the end we shared lunch, and as these things go, the evening in late-night conversations during drinks became.
Ryan was easy to experience friends – charismatic, with a story that is both deeply authentic and refreshingly candid. He shares personal stories about triumph and failure, which is rare in a space that is often dominated by Bravoure. It let me hope that one day I will visit the Missouri Ranch and see this community experiment firsthand.

Homestead Breakfasts & Orange Pills
This is not theory. The Ranch regularly organizes Homestead breakfast for bitcoiners and newcomers in the ecosystem. Eggs, bacon, black coffee – and one side of orange pill. These meetings are a real driveway, not another sterile pitch session of the conference room.

And Bitcoin Conference – 20 September
On September 20, the Ranch organizes the first “And Bitcoin conference.” Forget business sponsorship and sterile convention centers. This is Bitcoin grounded on dirt, sweat and food directly from the country.
If you can make it, come up. If not, you can still catch the full interview that I did with Ryan one-hour in his journey with Bitcoin, politics, faith and the community they build in St. Francois.
Become a member of Texas Slim & other bitcoiners in the center of Farmington on 11 N. Jefferson Street, 63640.
“This event will be during the Blues Brews festival, but we have reserved our own terrace to hang with other bitcoiners”.

Signal from the ground
Ryan Cooper and his ranch are not just cattle or nodes. They show how Bitcoin meets the supplies: soil, food, family and freedom.
As Ryan did one evening: “God did not give me a flight reaction.” We laughed at how there is a nice line between stupid and courage – but that is exactly where real change is happening.
