BAYC Metaverse project Otherside announces its second trip at the end of March 2023! The first Otherside journey introduced the Apes to their Metaverse with over 5,000 people logged in at the same time. They also faced a giant Koda alongside BAYC mascots Curtis and Blue. Yuga Labs announced yesterday that Voyagers will move on to the Otherside with more travel, opportunity, and ongoing metaverse experiences. The second BAYC Otherside Trip: what does Yuga Labs have in store?
According to the official release from Yuga Labs, the second Otherside journey will see new environments, new mechanics, and even an increase in users than the first journey. The team promises more gamification options, mechanics and high-energy entertainment. In this second segment, users can enter Otherside, connect their wallets and immediately start playing as their NFTs. Holders of BAYC, MAYC or Meebits should have no problem playing as their own unique avatars for the foreseeable future. The next journey will most likely be held on a Bonedeed desert map. The adventure follows Curtis, Blue and a Voyager in search of a “glowing, pulsating stone”. In addition, new residents are on their way to Otherside.
In addition, Yuga Labs is also collaborating with Improbable to improve their Avatar experience on their Otherside Development Kit (ODK). This is a toolkit that allows creators to build and customize their avatars. In addition to Avatars, the ODK also allows users to modify, create and interact with their environment in an innovative way. The toolkit also builds on multiple different game types. The introduction of these new mechanisms and tools will allow Otherside to be open much more often.
