Recently at an event in Charleston, famed digital artist Beeple and Yuga Labs came together to unleash physical prints of the highly popular CryptoPunks NFTs. This opportunity is part of a larger movement to ensure digital artworks are close to their traditional counterparts by unveiling physical editions. As part of the initiative, Yuga Labs and Beeple will provide a physical dimension to CryptoPunks’ non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
The two-day print extravaganza
On October 26, 2023, Yuga Labs will open a 48-hour window to facilitate the printing of the NFTs during two unique events: 10,000 On-Chain and Punk On Chain.
Punk On Chain allows CryptoPunks holders to obtain a physical representation of their digital avatar worth $640.
On the other hand, 10,000 On-Chain integrates all CryptoPunks onto a single 60-by-60-inch sheet, making it instantly available to anyone with an internet connection and $500 to spend. The initiative allows users to tangibly own part of the entire collection.
Verify each printout
The collaboration with the Avant Arte art community is important in developing and authenticating each CryptoPunks print. Avant Arte validates each print with a physical and digital Certificate of Authentication (COA).
This dual certification highlights the mix of digital and traditional art forms, guaranteeing the uniqueness and authenticity of each physical print while providing a link back to the digital space from which the artworks originate.
