In short, it allows buyers to register their purchases of luxury goods – both first and second-hand – and reap loyalty benefits in both situations. While luxury brands can gain better insight into the purchasing behavior of their customers.
That is cool.
But that’s not the reason we think this is a smart idea.
No. It’s a smart idea, because the crypto space is full of wealthy users looking for a place to spend their new-found wealth, and who are also obsessed with status symbols (hello NFTs 👋).
The easier a luxury brand (or any company) makes it for people with a lot of money to spend their money, the more money they are likely to make as a result.
(The Real The opportunity here lies in the fact that so few companies accept crypto).
