Expo 2025, one of the most anticipated events in the world, which will take place in April-October 2025 in Osaka, Japan, will issue its official non-fungible tokens on XRP Ledger. The expo’s official wallet will also be supported by Ripple’s main Asian partner.
XRPL becomes official Expo 2025 Osaka NFT platform
The upcoming global exhibition Expo 2025 in Osaka will release its official non-fungible tokens (NFTs) on top of XRP Ledger. A highly anticipated NFT collection called “Myakuun” will be released for the millions of Expo 2025 visitors from around the world, Ripple’s VP Emi Yoshikawa shared on her X account.

Technically, the new NFT release is a joint project of SBI VC Trade and SBI NFT, two units of major Asian digital economy SBI Holdings. The tokens will be unveiled in May 2024, a year before the grand opening ceremony of Expo 2025 in Osaka.
It is estimated that NFTs will be unlocked for more than 28.2 million guests expected to attend the event in Japan. “Myakuun” NFTs will be seamlessly integrated into the exhibition’s activities and programs.
Participants can claim NFTs for visiting the specific locations at Expo 2025 and for completing missions announced by its partners.

As previously reported by U.Today, XRP Ledger has become one of the fastest growing platforms for NFTs. In the third quarter of 2023, the NFT ecosystem posted double-digit growth.
SBI Holdings is supporting the Expo 2025 digital asset wallet
The special limited edition drop of the Myaku Myaku NFT will be presented to all attendees of the offline opening ceremony, Yahoo Japan says.
Also, long-time Ripple ally SBI Holdings will sponsor the development and release of the exhibition’s official cryptocurrency wallet. Like NFTs, it will be integrated into the event program.
To date, there are more than 3,300 NFT collections on XRP Ledger. In total, enthusiasts have issued more than two million NFTs, according to data from XPMarket.
