Who needs 280 Bitcoin domain names? Solid BTC bundle goes up for auction

A collection of more than 280 Bitcoin-Theme -domain names arrived via a single sale at Lloyds, the famous auction house announced on Tuesday.

The collection comprises dozens of Bitcoin domains with geographical theme, such as Japanbitcoin.com and Australiabitcoin.com, as well as more functional domains such as bitcoinexchanges.com and bitcoinwallets.com.

Other remarkable (and/or funny) names in the couple are bitcoinforpsza.com, e -mailbitcoin.com, bitcoinspotetf.com, bitcoinseedphrase.com, tokenizedbitcoins.com and Bitcoinnetzwerk.com.

“This is not just a group of good domains,” said Lloyd’s Chief Operations Officer Lee Hames in a statement. “It is the architecture of the presence of Bitcoin.

The auction house established in Australia previously held an auction for XBT.com, an alternative ticker for BTC that is sometimes used for Bitcoin, who in itself sells it for more than $ 3 million.

“After we have set the benchmark with XBT.com, we now offer the infrastructure behind it, a full series of digital assets that define the Bitcoin space online,” Hames added.

Some domains in the lot were already registered in 2010, shortly after the rise of Bitcoin in 2009, which speculated Lloyds that the anonymous domain registrants may have been linked to the early Bitcoin developer community.

To offer on the lots, users must be approved in advance by Lloyds. The company began to accept Payment in Cryptocurrency Already in 2021 accepting the acceptance of Bitcoin, Ethereum and other popular cryptocurrencies.

Lot estimates are not mentioned by Lloyds for sale, although the company calls the auction a ‘considerable offer’. Other popular crypto domains, such as BTC.com and Eth.com, have traded in the past of more than $ 1 million.
