The Web3 Alliance of Saudi -Arabia (Wasa) has launched with three Global Web3 players Sandbox, Animoca brands and Outlier Ventures, as employees.
Outlier Ventures is a global web3 accelerator, Sandbox is a compelling metaillese platform, while Animoca Brands is a web3 leader who uses blockchain to deliver digital ownership rights around the world to help establish the open metaverse.
The Web3 Alliance of Saudi Arabia (WASA) works as a non-profit organization that wants to unite blockchain and digital innovation leaders to stimulate Web3 acceptance in KSA in accordance with the vision of Saudi Arabia 2030.
The trio of projects is aimed at creating a cooperation ecosystem to enable companies and to stimulate sustainable growth in the country.

The board of the Alliance consists of market leaders and experts in Saudi Arabia and actively stimulates the digital transformation of the Kingdom. Supported by both international and local companies, the board members Dr. include Abeer Al Humaimedy, Yasser Alobaidan, Omar Elassar, Dr. Majid Almansouri, Wajd Badawi, Billal Yamak, Vincent Li, Bandar Altunisi, Ali Alasiri and Stephan Apel. All mentioned members are busy promoting innovation in the country.

In 2023, Outlier Ventures launched his Basis camp program that noticed, the start of a joint focus on the Mena region to accelerate local technology and web3 landscape.
In 2024, Animoca Brands and Saudi -Arabic Neom Investment Fund signed a strategic partnership with $ 50 million convertible banknotes financing from Neom to Animoca.
The Wasa Alliance will concentrate on four important pillars
According to the press release, the Alliance will concentrate on four key pillars.
The first is consciousness and training through workshops, seminars and conferences. Secondly, Wasa will concentrate on the development of standards and best practices.
Third on the list it will support opportunities for network and cooperation options. Finally, the alliance will lead to research and development initiatives.
Wasa will serve as the primary advocate for web3 technology in the region, working independently to promote innovation instead of individual companies or entities.
The management structure of the Alliance includes a general meeting and an executive committee, which ensures transparent and effective leadership.
According to a recent KPMG report entitled: “Beyond the hype: balancing speed, security and value”, which gave insight into the digital transformation of the Kingdom, the interest in web3 technologies also grows, with 69% enthusiasm for innovation.
