Open Campus announced that it has received a grant from the Arbitrum Foundation to launch EDU Chain, the first layer 3 blockchain for education. The project is also supported by other partners such as Animoca Brands.
With this grant, Open Campus supports the Arbitrum Ambassador program with educational content initiatives. In addition, the decentralized protocol will also participate in the Arbitrum hackathon, encouraging developers to create decentralized applications for EDU Chain.
Currently, Open Campus has the ability to connect 60 partner companies in the field of education and Web3 to promote participation in EDU Chain. The main goal of EDU Chain’s blockchain-based ‘Learn Own Earn’ model is to build an ecosystem of decentralized applications for students and teachers.
At the time of publication, Arbitrum ranks first in TVL among all L2 networks with approximately $16.28 billion. The token ranks 35th by capitalization in the Coinmarketcap rankings.
