To achieve this, the proposal outlines a two-pronged approach to infrastructure development, including building modern laboratories, secure data centers and high-speed connectivity.
To attract investments and businesses, the plan includes an economic framework with tax incentives, subsidies and investment matching programs for startups. In addition, Kusama proposes forming public-private partnerships to combine the expertise of the private sector with the resources of the government.
Education plays a crucial role in this proposal. Kusama recommends partnerships with universities to develop blockchain education programs and investments in STEM education for K-12
Promising future returns
According to the proposal, the SHIB project is expected to generate an investment of $1.3 billion to $2.35 billion over 10 years. In the short term, this hub could create about 5,000 jobs in areas such as administration and construction, adding $500 million to the economy.
In the medium term, the country wants to grow to 20,000 highly skilled jobs, generating almost $2 billion annually.
In the long term, Kusama expects the hub to become a self-sustaining engine that could add more than $5 billion annually to the economy.
