David Schwartz, CTO of Ripple Labs, is the latest to give his opinion on the crypto market for 2024, as part of Ripple’s predictions for 2024 with its focus on AI and blockchain, among others.
Ripple CTO on the Future of AI and Blockchain
Ripple CTO’s first prediction was about artificial intelligence (AI) and blockchain. Schwartz believes the convergence of these two innovative technologies will revolutionize cybersecurity and financial services. Specifically, the Ripple executive strongly believes that AI and blockchain will transform the trajectory of the market by providing accurate insights and automated trading.
AI chatbots, including chatbots that may emerge from the XRP Ledger (XRPL), will go a long way in simplifying development as they will promote global innovation and financial inclusion. Ultimately, the use of AI technology will take the blockchain to the next level of security. So far, the crypto industry has seen multiple intersections and integration of AI and blockchain.

Last month, Cardano fused AI and blockchain in its ecosystem through the launch of Girolamo, a generative chatbot with internet access. The Girolamo chatbot is designed to answer a wide range of questions, from industry-specific to general everyday queries. It also features the ability to generate and interpret images, adding a visual dimension to its functionality.
Similarly, Elon Musk’s irreverent new chatbot Grok AI recently predicted the price of Bitcoin by 2024. These are just some of the few things that have been achieved with the merger of AI and blockchain.
Further on, Schwartz spoke about the potential of having Real real-world asset (RWA) tokenization revolutionize the blockchain economy, with a core focus on real estate and commodities. XRPL will undoubtedly lead this movement with several improved solutions.
Ripple Labs Policy Director Rahul Advani also spoke about the concept of tokenization in his predictions for 2024, although he was more specific about the Asia-Pacific region (APAC). Advani stated that increased interest in tokenization will make the regulation of decentralized applications (DApps) a top priority in the region.
Decentralized identity and stable coins
Schwartz’s third prediction was about the privacy revolution that would be swept into the blockchain with the rise of the adoption of Decentralized Identity (DID).
Concluding his prediction, Ripple’s CTO highlighted the ability of stablecoins to reshape global finance while opening new currency corridors and reducing dependence on the US dollar.
While this may be true for stablecoins, Advani previously outlined the need for a robust regulatory framework for this asset class. In the meantime, more predictions are likely to come from other Ripple managers.
