President Donald Trump is said to be planning to launch a new crypto video game inspired by the popular board game Monopoly.
According to a new report from Fortune, an anonymous source that is familiar with the case that Trump will continue to venture into the world of Crypto activa by making a game that is a twist to Monopoly Go!, A mobile version of the classic game.
Another source, who also wanted to remain anonymous, confirmed the monopolic comparison with Fortune. The sources also confirmed that Bill Zanker, who helped Trump to launch his official memecoin and non-fungal tokens (NFTs), supports Trump on this company.
A Zanker spokesperson told Fortune that every comparison with Monopoly is “rumors”, but confirmed that a game that launched somewhere in April was in the making.
One of the sources also says that Zanker has had plans to make a Trump-based game since May 2024 when he sustained Hasbro the company that had the license for the Trump-Brand version of Monopoly-to buy back the license for the game. Hasbro, however, informed him that they no longer have the rights to that specific game.
Last year, Trump World Liberty Financial (WLFI), a decentralized platform for Finance (Defi), reportedly launched as a means of distributing the dominance of the US dollar and helping those by depriving the banking system. In January he launched his own memecoin and in March WLFI launched an “institutional” Stablecoin called USD1.
