Plume, a blockchain platform that is specially built for financing the real world, has announced a strategic partnership with Soneium, the Ethereum Layer-2 network developed by Sony Block Solutions Labs.
The collaboration is intended to bring a real world and transfer it directly to users to the Soneium ecosystem, using the Native Interoperability Layer of Plume, Skylink, according to a note that is shared with crypto.news.
The announcement indicates how Skylink will serve as the technical bridge that proceeds from Tokenized American treasury, private credit and other Real-World assets to stream cross-chain to Soneium. For the 5.1 million users within the Soneium network, this opens direct access to yield products of institutional quality, without having to leave their ecosystem for home.

Soneium’s involvement
Sony Block Solutions Labs, a joint initiative between Sony Group Corporation and Web3 Firm Startale Group, develop Soneium.
The blockchain is designed for use cases for consumers and maker and is preparing for launching mini apps via the Line Messaging platform.
Soneium also works with the MOCA network of the Plume Ecosystem to expand to areas such as Anime IP (such as Solo -Diveling), gaming and digital identity.
“The possibility to offer access to Real-World yield via Tokenized Assets is an important step forward to make blockchain relevant for regular financing,” said Ryohei Suzuki, director of SBSL. “This collaboration with Plume unlocks a mandatory new value layer for our ecosystem and users.”
With more than 180 projects that are already building on Pluim, the network positions itself as the first full-stack RWA chain, which offers EVM compatibility, a tokenization engine and integrated financial infrastructure.
The collaboration with Soneium is seen as an important step in Plume’s vision to create a mutually interconnected RWAFI network-Waardoor Real-World assets and their yields between different block chains can flow.
