Laboratories without permission, developers of the pipe network, have launched pipe Firestarter storage. This new function is expanding the network to a full -stack cloud platform and positions it as a decentralized alternative to services such as Cloudflare’s R2 and Content Delivery Network (CDN) tools.
Firestarter -storage was previously used internally to host Solana’s full POH archive data and snapshots of the ledger. With its public launch, developers can now use this tool to store and deliver data directly via the pipe network. The aim is to offer faster and cheaper performance by using decentralized infrastructure instead of trusting centralized providers.
The new storage layer helps developers to avoid the delays and costs that are linked to the coordination between traditional CDNs or other decentralized storage solutions. All data remains in the pipe network and prices are kept easy to reduce complexity and costs.
The system is optimized for applications that deliver fast data, such as decentralized apps, video streaming, NFT storage and AI -Workloads.
Pipe Firestarter storage is now publicly available. The prices start at one $ pipe token per gigabyte storage for the base layer. Full instructions are given in the official documentation of the network.
