Nym, a leading routing platform for Web3, has announced its latest partnership with Celestia, a modular blockchain that leverages Data Availability Sampling. The partnership aims to promote the scalability and integrity of the modular blockchains with the integration of noise obfuscation. This will benefit Celestia’s data availability modules via Nym Network. The platform took to social media to reveal this endeavor.
The secret is out!
We’re excited to announce an R&D collaboration with @celestia, leveraging Nym’s noise-generating mixnet to improve the efficiency and scalability of the Celestia chain.

Nym partners with Celestia to improve the scalability of Blockchain
Nym said the collaboration with Celestia focuses on using the “noise obfuscation” feature for Celestia. In this regard, Celstia’s data availability modules can leverage this functionality through Nym. Celestia reportedly allows anyone to develop their own separate blockchain using its exclusive modular structure. It offers unparalleled flexibility and scalability.
The platform has also created an L0 network for secure routing through the “Noise Generating Mixnet” project. Nym’s NGM can provide an anonymization layer to enable data retrieval, consensus, and queries. This reportedly ensures that the requesting entity remains uncensored. In addition, any wallet, application or blockchain can integrate Nym to secure transfer traffic.
Celestia mainly tries to improve the scaling of the blockchain while maintaining chain security. To improve the integrity of its DAS, Celestia has reportedly outlined a unique security enhancement. This allows it to avoid a likely selective disclosure exploit. This can happen when the authentication procedure is manipulated by a malicious node.
In such a case, the node selectively answers the given queries while holding back the block data. While this danger is currently theoretical, DAS protection is required in any situation as Celestia chains scale efficiently.
Leveraging the U-DAS module to prevent selective disclosure exploits targeting applicants
According to Nym, the partnership with Celestia reflects a critical milestone in the company’s journey toward improving blockchain security and scalability. As included in this development, Nym will create an Unlinkable Data Availability Sampling module. This disconnects the request from the requesting party via the Nym NGM. This prevents selective disclosure exploits that target applicants. So, with the latest U-DAS module, Celestia’s network participants will have the opportunity to sample and verify the parts of the data. They can do this without losing chain integrity.
