Horizen Labs, a zero-knowledge cryptography platform, rolls out its special low-1 blockchain for private data verification.
Zkverify, a new L1 blockchain designed for zero-knowledge-resistant (ZK-proof) verification, announced his mainnet launch on Tuesday.
“The mission of Zkverify is the removal of the economic and technical barriers for the acceptance of ZK,” Horizen Labs CEO and Zkverify founder Rob Viglione told Cointelegraph.
“Although verification is usually seen as the ‘cheapest’ part of the ZK value chain, it is still far too expensive and inefficient to support the Real-World scale,” said Viglione.
What is ZKP verification?
ZKP verification is a cryptographic method with which one party can prove a statement to the other without disclosing the underlying information or data itself. A common example is to verify the eligible age to gain access to a service without requiring the disclosure of a complete ID or other personal information.
With a ZKP volume estimated at around $ 100 million and 4.4 billion evidence from 2025, the ZK -Tena market is expected to reach $ 1.5 billion in 2030, according to data from leading industrial platforms choir, aligned and horiving labs.

“At present, many chains and apps can be delayed or more expensive because verifying those evidence on Ethereum or another chain can be considerably more expensive,” said Viglione.
According to Zkverify, ZKP verification on networks such as Ethereum can cost up to $ 60 per evidence during high congestion, whereby verification of up to 300,000 gas units is used. Zkverify promises to make the cost reduction of at least 90% possible compared to directly on L1S.
“Heavy math instead of the original app or chain”
To reduce the verification costs, Zkverify offers a special verification layer by separating the proof of the settlement on L1S.
“Zkverify checks a ZK-proof by doing heavy math instead of the original app or chain,” Viglione Cointelegraph said, adding:
“The original chain sends evidence and inputs, it routes the right checker, validates them and registers a pass or a failure. Other apps or chains read that results instead of making mathematics again, to reduce the calculation tax to Zkverify, to reduce time and costs.”
Decentralized ID, Gaming, Defi -Loans between user cases
Under real use of Zkverify, Viglione mentioned the decentralized ID, verified trade forecasts, decentralized financing loans, gaming and more.
“The easiest way to communicate with Zkverify is through our Relayer interface, which is just as simple as an API to use, and constantly grow in possibilities,” he said, adding that the blockchain “works calmly in the background”, so the user does not have to think about how it works.

He also emphasized the ability of Zkverify to verify many different types of tests with his modular architecture and multichain option, allowing teams once to verify and testify to Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, Optimism and other chains without Lock-ins.
The Mainstet launch of Zkverify comes months after the Ethereum Foundation has announced plans to integrate its ZK Ethereum Virtual Machine (ZKEVM) directly into its L1 -Blockchain within a year.
The planned integration would make significant changes to the block version of ZKEVM, so that validators can verify multiple evidence of different ZKVMs instead of re -execution of block transactions.
