Metamask has adjusted its FOX logo and makes major changes to his crypto wallet, the team announced on Thursday.
I talked to Metamask-MEDE founder than Finlay to get all the deets about how the classic crypto wallet changes.
“It almost feels like closing chapter two on portfolios,” said Finlay.
The Pectra Hard fork from Ethereum lets Metamask change its wallet so that it asks you much less often to sign something. That can be a plus for safety, and it is definitely a plus for more seamless usability.
The current way in which portfolios work can also be bad for security -Finlay said that a “blind sign” incident was what the recent Bybit -Hack made possible.
“They were asked to sign a hash just blindly. And they did it. That is just so deep, fundamentally broken, “he tells me.
With this update you can withdraw permissions into your wallet. They also go to abstract networks and gas to make the use of Metamask easier – no longer typing in foreign codes to add block chains to your wallet.
“Users still sign things they don’t understand. And if we want to make this like the rails of a real functional economy, people should actually get what they do, and it must be at the deepest level, “Finlay added.

They also make gas-inclusive swaps in the wallet itself, so that you don’t have to go through the hassle to get other guest drivers in that wallet to complete the exchange. And next month they will also let Metamask users pay gas costs in all the tokens that you own to make transactions even smoother.
Multiple secret recovery sentences will soon be possible, as well as the possibility of synchronizing your metamask profile, regardless of which web browser or device you use.
The page of the wallet that shows that all your tokens now show them all in one place, such as the Coinbase wallet, regardless of which chain they are in it. It’s just more logical to see all your crypto in one place. Moreover, the wallet filters spamtokens and things that cause junk from sight.
“We are in spam filtering, trying to filter the blockchain sewerage era,” said Finlay. “I hope people will notice it, hey, this really works better.”
And then, similar to what Avalanche does with the Avalanche Visa card, Metamask is launching a MasterCard-walled credit card with which you can connect your self-herb metamask portion and can publish it crypto.
