Maestro, a Bitcoin Defi infrastructure company, is building a native indexer for ordinals and running on the Internet Computer Protocol (ICP). The project is supported by a subsidy from the Dfinity Foundation and is carried out as a bus within the blockchain network of ICP. The indexer offers real-time bitcoin activity data to support applications built on ICP.
ICP has become a leading platform for Bitcoin -Slimme contracts through his chain fusion technology, which makes direct interaction with Bitcoin possible without intermediaries. The new Indexer from Maestro will improve support for ordinals and runes applications in ICP by offering fast and reliable data access of the Bitcoin network.
The system validates Bitcoin Asset activity directly within ICP, using functions such as mempool monitoring and protection against blockchain reorganisations. These tools are aimed at improving the speed and accuracy of data supply for developers who build on the platform.
Liquidium, a Bitcoin-based credit protocol, is the first to use the indexer. It is planning to launch a new product that allows users to lock Bitcoin on the base layer and borrow USDT on Ethereum without using bridges or packaged tokens.
The infrastructure of Maestro has already supported hundreds of applications and developers. The new indexer will be opened open and available for use in the ICP ecosystem. This project is part of a broader push to expand Bitcoin-related ICP development by offering developers safe tools for building native applications.
