In a recent official announcement, Gala Games announced its intent to transfer unsold and non-fungible token (NFT) game assets from the Ethereum network to their recently developed proprietary blockchain called GalaChain. Notably, this tweak promises to allow gamers to interact with their NFTs without having to pay Ethereum’s gas fees. In addition, this change is expected to improve the platform’s web3 features and capabilities.
Gala Games will introduce several new NFT Mystery Boxes to complement the transition. All of these boxes contain game items that are no longer available in the Gala Game Store. The box is well designed to contain three randomly chosen game items from different titles operating within the Gala Games ecosystem.
The items found in these boxes act as tokens for transactions on the GalaChain platform. Interestingly, operations on GalaChain, including transfers, can currently be performed without gas fees. This is a great benefit as making and distributing these NFT Mystery Boxes would have been significantly more expensive in terms of gas if they were run on the Ethereum network.
I know there are a lot of people who want to know what events are coming up for the @GoGalaGames ecosystem!

Gala Games President of Blockchain Jason “BitBender” Brink commented on this transition. He said:
“It is an important step to bring NFTs from our games to our own layer 1 blockchain. GalaChain aims to facilitate the use of game assets without the constant worry of bridges and gas.
Given the capabilities of GalaChain, Gala Games has already released 30204 Mystery Boxes with different price tags.
Gala games
Launched as a prominent figure in web3 entertainment, Gala Games is committed to delivering AAA gaming experiences, including Spider Tanks. These experiences emphasize the essence of player ownership. The foundation of the company lies in the huge decentralized gaming nodes, all of which are controlled by gamers. With many game releases in the past year and several more nearing final stages of development, Gala Games is making a lot of strides in the gaming world.
Earlier, in May 2023, Gala Games decided to burn nearly 21 billion GALA Tokens. The value of these tokens was approximately $637 million at the time. That action was taken after the completion of the V2 token airdrop. Such a move by Gala Games Games was believed to be an attempt to allay fears of a possible quick sell-out. As seen in their vision paper for 2023, Gala Games has already started burning their own token, $GALA. This move appears to have come in response to community feedback.
The Gems initiative focuses on supporting mobile growth and significantly strengthening the entire node ecosystem. Gala Games has already committed to burning up to $2 billion of GALA over the course of the year. While following through on that commitment wasn’t practical under their v1 contract, the launch of v2 has made it easily achievable.
