Blitmap NFTs was developed in 2021 by Dom Hoffman, who is also known for co-creating Vine, a video creation app. Blitmap is a collection of pixelated crypto art and consists of easily recognizable everyday objects, including chickens, teddy bears, hands, burgers, boomboxes, etc.
The size of each photo is 32*32, with images of up to 4 colors, and the whole must be less than 268 bytes. Small transaction sizes prevent Ethereum Blockchain from blowing up.
Blitmap NFT was created by contributions from 17 artists and features 100 original Blitmaps. These Blitmaps were later mixed to make 16.00 siblings. Upon completion of the collection, an expansion called The Blitnauts was released. It is available for free to Blitmap owners.
The expansion pack introduces a brand new collection to create yourself. Blitmap holders also get access to unique benefits, including upcoming rival expansion packs.
