Polyhedra Network has integrated its cross-chain interoperability protocol zkBridge with Flare.
According to an announcement on August 27, Polyhedra’s integration on Flare (FLR), the blockchain for data platform, will help tap cross-chain security with zero-knowledge proofs.
The integration follows the Polyhedra Network community’s approval of a proposal that aimed to bring zkBridge, one of LayerZero’s decentralized authentication networks (ZRO), to Flare. With the arrival of zkBridge DVN on Flare, developers can now use ZK proofs technology to build and deploy efficient cross-chain applications.

Integration to power the Flare DeFi ecosystem
Key to the interoperability is zkBridge’s use of zkSNARKs zero-knowledge technology for multi-chain relaying and block header verification and consensus.
A system that provides a two-tier recursive proofing environment makes proof generation and verification fast and inexpensive. Batching makes it possible to verify on-chain transactions from different blockchains in a single proof.
Decentralized applications deployed on Flare can now retrieve data from other chains or networks via zkBridge. This scenario allows developers to build cross-chain dApps for DeFi, including prediction markets, trading, and perpetrators.

In addition to RWAs and tokenization, Flare’s smart contract platform supports use cases such as machine learning, artificial intelligence, gaming and social finance. Flare’s FAssets allow Bitcoin to connect to other blockchains to unlock the benefits of DeFi.
