One of the most widely used Web3 applications worldwide, EasyA, has announced a series of major milestones in integrating blockchain developers into the Polkadot ecosystem. Nearly 1,000 developers attended EasyA’s two Polkadot hackathons this summer, and 111 startups were incubated. Now these teams are looking to attract further investment to grow their businesses, following in the footsteps of EasyA alumni who have created companies valued at more than $2.5 billion.
With the help of EasyA, developers can now acquire fundamental Web3 skills more easily than before and use these skills to create full-fledged businesses during their renowned EasyA hackathons in the world’s major cities. EasyA’s award-winning mobile app, which has received several accolades including Apple’s App of the Day, makes it easier for developers to get started with Web3 development, participate in active blockchain projects, and start their own businesses aim.
More than 400 developers were chosen to participate in the latest EasyA x Polkadot hackathon in London, where 56 startups were launched. The event, part of the #180DaysofPolkadot campaign, was one of several global EasyA hackathons highlighting the prospects for developers in the fast-growing Polkadot ecosystem.
One of the winning startups from the London hackathon managed to bring Farcaster to Polkadot, allowing customers to create their own custom Farcaster frames. A startup. Another winner was Paxmata, a startup that uses onchain milestones to make it easier for real estate developers to manage construction projects. Paperbaum, a custom-built parachain for efficient paper linking using IPFS and NLP, authorship verification and secure publication of academic articles, took third place. These winners are now raising money from prestigious venture capitalists while maintaining the growth of their companies.
Exactly one week later, EasyA held its second Polkadot hackathon of the summer at Harvard University, once again setting a number of records. More than 300 carefully selected developers launched 55 games during the EasyA x Polkadot Harvard hackathon. The top teams also shared a $20,000 prize pool. Teams were challenged to use NFTs on Unique Network’s parachain and Polkadot to create racing car games. World famous INDY500 racer Conor Daly was called by EasyA to inspire the developers and demonstrate what goes into creating the perfect racing car game, in line with their racing theme.
Now, more than 100,000 developers have discovered Polkadot through the EasyA app, and this year alone, about 1,000 more have used EasyA x Polkadot hackathons to launch their businesses. As a result, EasyA has enabled a record number of developers to enter the market and pushed Polkadot developer activity to unprecedented heights.
