Future -oriented information
Statements in this that are not historical facts, but explicit expectations or objectives for the future, including but not limited to statements with regard to the non-IVRS objectives for financial performance of the group are future-oriented explanations. Such future -oriented explanations are based on the current views and assumptions of Dassault Systèmes management and bring in known and unknown risks and uncertainties. Actual results or performance can vary substantially from those in such statements because of a series of factors.
In particular, consult the risk factor “uncertain worldwide environment” in section 1.9.1.1 of the universal registration document of 2024 set out below for convenience of reference:
“In the light of the uncertainties with regard to economic, social, health and geopolitical conditions at a global level, the turnover of Dassault systems, the net income and cash flows can grow slower, either on annual or quarterly base, mainly because of the following factors:
- The use of Dassault Systèmes solutions can represent a large part of the investments of a customer in software technology. Decisions to make such an investment are influenced by the economic environment in which customers are active. Uncertain global geopolitical, economic and health problems and the lack of visibility or lack of financial resources can ensure that some customers, for example within the industry for car, space travel, energy or natural resources, reduce, postpone or cancel their investments, or to reduce or to reduce continuously paid maintenance for their respected basis;
- The political, economic and monetary situation in certain geographical regions where Dassault Systèmes is active could become more volatile and can negatively influence the activities of Dassault Systèmes, and in particular his income, for example due to stricter ExportComPliance rules or the introduction of goods or services;
- Continuous pressure or volatility on raw materials and energy prices can also delay the diversification efforts of Dassault systems in new industries;
- Uncertainties with regard to the size and duration of the costs that can influence inflation can adversely affect the financial position of Dassault Systès; And
- The sales cycle of the products of the Dassault Systèmes – for the strategic nature of such investments for customers – can further extend further.
The occurrence of crises – in particular health and political crises – could have both consequences for both health and safety of the employees of Dassault Systèmes and for the company. It can also have a negative influence on the financial situation or financing and delivery options of the existing and potential customers, commercial and technology partners of Dassault Systès, some of whom are forced to temporarily close sites or to stop activities. A deteriorating economic environment could generate an increased price pressure and influence the collection of claims, which would have a negative influence on the turnover, financial performance and market position of Dassault Systèmes.
Dassault Systèmes does everything to take this uncertain view into account. However, the operating results of Dassault Systèmes do not develop as expected. Moreover, due to factors that influence the sale of products and services of Dassault Systèmes, there may be a significant delay between improving the worldwide economic and business circumstances and a revival of the business results of the company.
