ReachMe, the paid messaging platform powered by BNB Chain, has announced that it has completely shut down its operations. All services of the platform have been permanently discontinued.
ReachMe has received a lot of attention due to its use by Binance founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ). CZ previously charged ReachMe a fee of 1 BNB per message. This fee was later reduced to 0.8 BNB.
The announcement on the platform’s official website included the following statements:
The ReachMe service has been discontinued. Thank you for being part of the ReachMe community. After a thorough evaluation process, we have decided to discontinue our services. We are grateful for the support of our users and the connections made through our platform.
The statement also said that all services are permanently closed, user data is processed securely in accordance with the privacy policy and any transactions or messages are no longer possible.
In a recent statement, CZ admitted that the project it backed had failed and said it is not possible to be successful all the time.
