Well-known Web3 ecosystem Constellation Network has announced a new partnership with the Common Crawl Foundation. The partnership includes the launch of a custom-built blockchain to develop the earliest ever cryptographically protected and indisputable internet data archive to fuel AI development and training.
Constellation Network provides distinctive data validation for AI training
Constellation Network highlighted that its partnership with Common Crawl reveals a unique method for the validation. It also enables secure access to seventeen years of Internet data, including 9 petabytes of data. According to the platform, eighty percent of the total large language models use the relevant data to train AI. For this purpose, they use the cryptographically secured blockchain network built by Constellation.
Additionally, the partnership will use Constellation’s $DAG utility to protect archived Internet data. This signals a remarkable development in the use of crypto as a tool for companies, allowing them to notarize data. This shifts the focus from gas fees or user fees to operational costs, unlike various L1 networks.
End-to-end data encryption and comprehensive data archiving
Key technological innovations brought about by this collaboration include inclusive data archiving, an ethical AI agenda and end-to-end encryption. With a completely immutable copy of the internet data, it provides exceptional traceability and transparency for AI training datasets. In addition, it provides cryptographic security, ensuring data integrity during AI development. Furthermore, it introduces a powerful solution to address the issues related to data storage, usage and collection in large language models.
According to Constellation Network CTO Alex Brandes, this integration reflects a critical step in securing the AI future. In the coming months, both Constellation Network and Common Crawl Foundation plan to work together to expand solutions for AI builders. Furthermore, developers can simply start using verified historical data to support AI applications.
