Owlayer has taken a step in the direction of scaling decentralized infrastructure by rolling out a multichain verification function with which decentralized services can be performed on layer-2 networks while retaining Ethereum-Grade protection.
Last Thursday, Echtenlayer introduced a protocol function with which actively validated services (AVS) can be actively performed on low-2s in addition to the Ethereum network. Own Labs launched the new function on the Sepolia test network on the basic network.
Own Labs -founder and CEO SREERAM Kannan told Cointelegraph that the update marks a “critical milestone” in the route map of the company. He said that while the function is launched on the basis of Sepolia, they are planning to roll it out to extra block chains soon.
“Basic stood out as our first partner because of the lively builder -ecosystem and coordination with our mission to accelerate the app layer,” he said, adding that they are working on supporting extra chains and plan to bring the function to main environments in the third quarter of 2025.

Kannan told Cointelegraph that enables the EigenCloud function to fulfill its mission to scale verifiable infrastructure everywhere. He said that this requires AV’s developers in many chains, not just the Ethereum Meminet.
“So far, AVS had to choose between using Ethereum’s security or scales for faster, cheaper environments,” said Kannan. “With verification of multiple chains, they don’t have to make a choice.”
The system ensures that AVSS used on other block chains, the pooled security of self -layer inherit. Validature data, such as stakeweights, operator configurations and cut fines, are automatically synchronized with all supported chains.
Slashing refers to the punishment of validators who act malicious or misbehave, while deployment weights refer to how many crypto a validator has set.

Blockchain -networks push -upgrades of infrastructure
The new upgrade of Eigenlayer comes as networks move to improve technical possibilities.
On July 24, Hybrid Blockchain built a technical upgrade on Bitcoin that brings it closer to obtaining a fully decentralized sign on the L2Beat platform. The network implemented zero knowledge (ZK) Fraud evidence within an optimistic Rollup framework.
In the meantime, the Ethereum Foundation has set a timeline for the implementation of ZKEVM in the Mairet within a year. On July 10, the foundation laid a path to the replacement of traditional block versions by ZK-proofs.
