Bitrefill, the leader of global crypto e-commerce, has announced the integration of stablecoin USDC into the Solana network.
By doing this, the platform expands its range of supported tokens, giving the end customer more freedom of choice.
This move by Bitrefill comes just a few days after the presentation of its own crypto payment card.
Bitrefill adds stablecoins: support for USDC on the Solana network
Bitrefill, the crypto e-commerce giant, just revealed during a press conference that it has added support for USDC on Solana.
This new feature allows the platform’s users to spend Circle’s stablecoin to purchase gift cards, e-SIMs, and non-rechargeable cards.
Currently, the service is only available with the coins BTC, ETH, USDT, DOGE and LTCbut integration with the Solana blockchain will be added soon.
This detail unlocks greater scalability in transactions with any of the 7,000 brands supported by Bitrefill.
Furthermore, the presence of USDC in this context ensures that customers can enjoy a purchasing experience independent of the volatility of cryptocurrency prices.
When purchasing on major traditional e-commerce platforms, for example on Amazon, there are essentially no currency exchanges to take into account or goods that change value quickly.
For Bit refill the purpose of this new implementation is precisely to address the theme “spending in cryptocloser to the traditional world.
Not to be underestimated is how the madness Solana experiences during this period could bring a flood of new users to the platform.
Speaking about the news, Sergej Kotliar, CEO of Bitrefill, said, highlighting how using USDC is a payment method highly desired by the community:
“This is the most requested payment method by our users and is already present in our launch phase. We have seen that sales data itself is central to the group of payment methods supported by our products.”
Bitrefill announces crypto card: speed and cost-effectiveness of transactions with Solana and USDC
Very curious to see how the integration of USDC on Solana for Bitrefill comes just a few days after the company announced another big news.
Indeed, on Monday, October 21, the merchant presented to his audience the upcoming launch of his crypto credit card.
This new tool allows users to go beyond the gift card and spend the company-backed tokens freely through the international VISA circuit.
It is estimated that the total is approx 130 million traders located in 175 different countries accept the new Bitrefill card.
Be careful though, because not everyone will be able to request it, but only citizens living in selected countries of the European Union, which fortunately also includes Italy.
We find support for Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, France, Germany, Greece, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Spain and others.
For the full list, you can refer to what’s in the following tweet from Bitrefill.
There are no non-EU countries, which underlines the company’s strength on the continent.
You asked and we listened.

Once the Bitrefill card is released, users will be able to spend USDC through the Solana network for crypto purchases.
This will enable them to use a stable currency as a medium of exchange and an efficient and economical network for the settlement of transactions.
Currently, USDC’s supply on Solana amounts to 2.6 billion tokens: it is possible that some of this will be used for e-commerce purchases.
Gift card and vouchers to tackle the problem of high taxes in Italy
While the news about the introduction of the crypto card for Bitrefill and the integration of USDC on Solana may attract many users, there are some considerations to be made.
In Italy, after the presentation of the new 2025 budget law, the tax on capital gains in crypto assets will increase from 26 to 42%.
This could discourage the Italian clientele from using the Bitrefill card as it would actually result in taxable transactions under the regulations.
For this reason, it is even more difficult to think that USDC will be used, which has recently been chosen as the “MiCa compatible“stablecoin.
It is more likely that Bitrefill will continue to be used in Italy through the various gift cards, e-SIM and gift cards that can be purchased directly in crypto.
In this way, the sale of goods or services, even if it results in a realization (and is in fact taxable), still seems to be limited to the bull-and-bear crypto world.
By issuing BTC or other tokens, purchased without KYC, one can protect oneself against the risk of the tax authorities checking how much was spent with our debit card.
By purchasing gift cards, fuel vouchers and Amazon vouchers on Bit refillyou can reduce your potential capital gain by using the money for daily activities.
It is clear that the intention of this article is not to encourage tax evasion, but only to highlight a phenomenon that, given the current situation, could gain popularity.
We remind you that strict penalties are provided for violators, with fines of up to 5 million euros.
