So, I’m not sure if you noticed or not, but…
AI and AI-related tokens have been booming over the past 6-12 months.
WorldCoin (WLD) is up about 350% since its listing price about a year ago, Livepeer (LPT) and Arkham (ARKM) also saw gains of 140% and 100% respectively.
Which might lead you to believe decentralized AI networks are in high demand…
The disappointing reality is that this is the intended use case for most of these AI tokens is buying services from specific AI ecosystems… they are mainly used as a form of speculative investment.
That means the demand for decentralized AI might be a bit exaggerated right now…
But here’s the twist:
These crazy valuations might actually be doing God’s work (as they say).
Because the concept of one or a select few companies having complete control over Earth’s first/only digital superintelligence(s) is terrifying.
That makes decentralized AI an extremely important technology.
So if we need to overfund a few crypto projects to make decentralized AI cheap, easy to use and commonplace:
We are all for it!
