A new proposal suggests the construction of Ronin L2 as an arbitrum orbit chain, where this is when the Ronin team plans to migrate the game chain to a fully-fledged, Ethereum-released layer 2 by 2026.
Summary
- A proposal that Ronin L2 wants to build on Arbitrum is live.
- The move comes as Ronin, launched as layer 1 blockchain by Sky Mavis, seemed to return to Ethereum as a fully-fledged L2 chain.
- Ron will feed the ecosystem of the new chain as a token of the gas costs.
According to the proposal, Arbitrum (ARB) is unique positioned to help Ronin (Ron) if the L2 seems to return to Ethereum (ETH). With arbitrum with a special web 3 -gaming company, the proposal means to build Ronin as an L2 on the orbit chain, arbitrum will be more than a technical partner.
Ronin L2 on Arbitrum Orbit Chain is powered by Ron and supported by Arbitrum -Gaming companies.
Why on Arbitrum Orbit?
In the initiative, Ronin will benefit from native support for Ron as a guest smoking, transaction speed, adaptability and self -administration and optimized reimbursements for validators.
In particular, Arbitrum Orbitrum is the only L2 stack on Ethereum that offers native support for all four ecosystem functionalities without the hacks, solutions or broken upgradeability.
Today we formally suggested the Ronin Validator community that @ronin_network Build with @arBitrum.

What this means is that Ronin users are given the opportunity to use the L2 benefits of arbitrum of direct transactions and support for gaming community. In this case, the L2 also speeds up Web3 gaming acceptance for Ronin. This can lead to greater integration into the Ethereum ecosystem.
The Native Ronin -Token Ron will also be set, with the use of the use of the L2 network.

Ronin prior to migration to Ethereum
Ronin was launched as a low-1 blockchain in 2021, developed by Sky Mavis while the company was tackling the challenges of scalability for Axie Infinity (AXS). The blockchain went live with a proof-of-authority consensus model before switching to delegated proof-of-stake in 2023.
Ronin comes home at Ethereum.
Ready Layer Two ⚔️
Four years ago we built Ronin because Axie Infinity needed a faster, more efficient network. Ethereum was still early in the scaling route map. Need was the mother of our invention.

The EVM-compatible chain supports various tools that are designed to help gaming developers and has integrated ecosystem solutions such as Chainlink’s cross-chain interoperability protocol for security and cross-chain token transfers. Ronin also supports non-fungal non-fungal tokens and decentralized financial applications.
Recent network developments include the launch of Open Ronin via Project Leviosa, a movement that helped the blockchain outside the gaming-centric model to a platform that supports smart contracts for Defi, Infrastructure and Consumer applications.
The transition to an L2 on Ethereum is part of the mission to become ‘the Gamification -Engine of Ethereum’, the Ronin team recently noticed.
