Altlayer, Astar Network and Eigenlayer have worked together to reduce the finality times to less than 10 seconds on Soneium. Soneium currently uses Ethereum’s fraud-resistant mechanism, which requires a latency of almost fifteen minutes for L1 settlement. The newest development therefore aims to deliver a significant finality rate.
Despite security, the aforementioned latency has become an obstacle to applications that require reliable and fast cross-chain transactions. User classes with regard to gaming, social platforms and decentralized finances (Defi) are particularly sensitive to this kind of latency. It can hinder real -time interactions and also become a major obstacle to consumers.
To tackle this problem, Astar Network has integrated with the modular asynchronous consensushybir technology from Altlayer. The integration with the leading recovering infrastructure stubborn offers a fast finality layer, so that Soneium can verify transfers in real -time transfers. The Mach solution from Altlayer offers a series of advanced improvements that improve speed, security and decentralization, expanding the possibilities of L2 networks. To offer improved security, a dual token model with $ Astr and $ ETH will be used. Validators protect the network with both tokens. This will open exclusive deployment options.
