AIW3 has entered into a strategic alliance with Snowball Labs to enhance its decentralized trading infrastructure, account, settlement and risk layers. The partnership aims to bring identity abstraction, cross-chain settlement and real-time risk allocation to decentralized perpetual markets.

While stablecoins and real-world assets (RWAs) are being transformed on-chain, both companies now agree that the speed of execution is no longer sufficient. Instead, structured identity systems, secure payment rails, and open risk intelligence are needed to enable scalable capital coordination in institutional markets.
Addressing the missing layer in on-chain markets
Decentralized finance has made rapid progress, but much of the infrastructure is still based on crude wallet addresses and disjointed liquidity rails. This partnership is expected to minimize exposure risk and improve compliance preparedness and capital efficiency, as stated in the announcement.
According to Snowball Labs, it provides a universal identity and payment layer for people and autonomous agents. With this integration, AIW3 enriches its strategy architecture using identity-sensitive settlement rails and ordered risk signals.
Together, the companies aim to make decentralized perpetual markets more transparent, interoperable and institution-ready.
Core infrastructure: MNS, CIP, ORS and Snowball Wallet
The snowball infrastructure stack is the heart of the collaboration and consists of four main components.
- Modular Naming Service (MNS) is an introduction to chain-independent username accounts. Vault administrators and merchants can use separate identities instead of communicating with each other via complex alphanumeric wallet addresses. This abstraction enables reputation building that is verifiable by strategy and enables decentralization of capital coordination.
- Cross-Identity Payments (CIP) offers programmable cross-chain settlement. It supports the free flow of capital across all AIW3 vaults and strategies across multiple chains without the use of traditional bridges or token wrapping systems. The capital can be deployed where alpha opportunities exist and settlement can take place immediately.
- On-chain Risk Signals (ORS) introduces an on-chain attribute layer. ORS overlays the risk information on AIW3’s strategy infrastructure and produces signals ready to meet. Liquidity providers have a better view of counterparty risk and capital flows are more controllable and transparent.
- With this stack, Snowball Wallet is a mobile-first smart DeFi wallet intended to bring identity, payments and risk allocation into one user-centric experience.
Strengthening the strategy execution architecture
AIW3 is integrating identity-aware infrastructure into its operational system through the partnership. This allows strategy managers to work using structured accounts and not anonymous addresses, increasing security and accountability.
Snowball in turn improves the security and allocations of accounts in the active trading systems. By linking identity and risk signals to strategy execution, both companies will minimize systemic friction within decentralized markets.
The collaboration is also a response to an increasing institutional need, namely the willingness for structural compliance.
Decentralized techniques and transparent risk measures are needed as more substantial capital allocators consider the various decentralization strategies. These expectations are met through the mechanisms of ORS and MNS that do not imply any violation of the principles of decentralization.
Preparing decentralized markets at an institutional scale with AIW3
The collaboration can be seen as an extension of the trend in the digital asset market. With the growth of stablecoins and tokenized real-world assets, infrastructure will need to go beyond simply executing transactions.
Identity abstraction facilitates user interaction and reputation mobility. Final, programmable settlement ensures chain capital effectiveness. Risk attribution increases confidence among liquidity providers, traders and vault managers.
AIW3 and Snowball Labs will attempt to create a layer of structure under decentralized perpetual markets by coupling strategy architecture with a secure on-chain account infrastructure.
