Shiba Inu leader Shytoshi Kusama responds to an NFT commercial from car manufacturer DeLorean featuring a Shiba Inu.
The crypto scene and pop culture recently collided in a unique way, when “Back to the Future” star Christopher Lloyd appeared in a DeLorean NFT commercial that also featured a Shiba Inu dog. This cameo did not go unnoticed by Shytoshi Kusama, the Lead developer of Shiba Inuwho went to X to express his excitement.

In a post, Kusama responded enthusiastically to the commercial, which he saw as a nod to the growing influence of the Shiba Inu brand in mainstream media.

He highlighted the involvement of DeLorean Motors and DeLorean Labs, the Web3 division of the iconic car brand, and noted the appearance of the Shiba Inu in the commercial alongside Lloyd.
Interestingly enough, Kusama’s message hinted at an exciting potential future. He encouraged the community to get involved and freely explore the possibilities of the project. Participants can have the Time Capsule NFT minted at the official for free website.
In a similar but recent development, Shiba Inu was also featured in the Cybercab project Introduced this week by Elon Musk’s Tesla. The official Dogecoin X account teased this cameo in a post on X.
The appearance of the Shiba Inu in the DeLorean Time Capsule commercial is a nod to Web3 in the ad, which combines nostalgia with futurism. Directed by Allan Ungar, the commercial pays tribute to Lloyd’s famous role as Doc Brown in ‘Back to the Future’ while introducing DeLorean’s new NFT project.
The DeLorean Time Capsule NFTs
The Time Capsule NFTs, a primary focus of the commercial, are part of DeLorean’s latest leap into the digital age. This NFTs are minted on the Sui blockchain and represent 8,800 collectibles, designed to drive innovation in the automotive and digital scene.

DeLorean first introduced the Time Capsule project this year Token2049 conference in Singaporeand the Web3 community received it warmly. In the first coin window, participants quickly claimed 800 NFTs in less than 32 minutes. This confirmed the high demand for limited edition collectibles.
