Witness Chain has announced plans to develop the DePIN Coordination Layer (DCL) using the Polygon CDK (Chain Development Kit). There are several functions that the DCL must fulfill. For starters, it opens the door for the development of composite DePIN DApps, which combine DeFi and DePIN to deliver new software.
In addition, it gives DePIN nodes the ability to be programmed, which facilitates trading of commodities on the futures market, including computation, electricity, bandwidth and storage. Third, it applies rollups and dual staking to DePIN.
In addition, the DCL encourages the listing of assets on-chain and reaches consensus on real-world situations involving DePIN nodes. Furthermore, it streamlines the bridging procedure and supports optimistic rollups by merging Rollup Watchtower proofs on AggLayer.
The qualities of Polygon CDK make it an ideal candidate for the DePIN Coordination Layer. First, it provides Ethereum Security by leveraging Ethereum’s strong security measures and settling proofs on the Ethereum network. Secondly, it facilitates interoperability, meaning that CDK chains can exchange data and communicate with each other without any problems using AggLayer. This allows easy use of evidence at the DCL layer of the Witness Chain within other chains. In addition, CDK offers gas adjustment services.
The Polygon Chain Development Kit (CDK) is an open-source, modular software toolkit that developers can use to build new L2 chains on Ethereum that are zero-knowledge proof (zkEVM) with optional validium.
