Layer 2 blockchain Manta Pacific will use its modular data availability solution to reduce transaction costs for users.
Manta will benefit from this Celestia TIA -11.94% ‘s data availability sampling, a mechanism for light nodes to verify data availability without downloading all the data in a block.
“We are taking Manta Pacific to the next level by bringing it to Celestia so that our users can benefit from a more cost-effective and secure networking environment,” said Kenny Li, co-founder and core contributor at Manta Network.
Some of the industry’s top rollup projects have already decided to integrate with Celestia. For example, Polygon Labs’ Chain Development Kit, an open-source toolkit for developing Layer 2 chains, integrates Celestia’s DA solution to reduce costs for Layer 2 chains developed in its ecosystem.
Manta Pacific has grown to a total value of $18 million in just over two months since the mainnet went live in September. Developer p0x labs raised $25 million in a round led by Polychain Capital in July.
