Over the past seven days, the non-fungible token (NFT) market has seen a slight uptick, with revenues of $106.87 million – an increase of 6.59% from the previous week. Ethereum-based NFTs made a significant contribution, accounting for 56.35% of total weekly revenue, or approximately $60.23 million, a modest 0.98% increase from the previous week.
From Ethereum to Draftkings: Unwrapping a week of NFT sales
The past week marked a small increase in NFT sales, up 6.59% higher than the previous week, totaling $106.87 million according to cryptoslam.io stats. Ethereum-based NFTs led the market, earning $60.23 million, while Polygon-based NFTs took second place in weekly sales, earning $13 million — an increase of 92.07% from the previous week.
Solana’s NFT sales took in just over $9 million, up 30.54% from the previous week. After Solana, Mythos, Immutable X, BNB Chain and Bitcoin rounded out the list. Bitcoin-based NFT sales settled into the seventh position for the week, worth $2.7 million. However, BTC’s seven-day sales fell 24.90% lower than the previous week. Tezos made a remarkable move, jumping 50.44% higher, but only contributing just $376,024 to the week’s NFT sales.
This week’s crown for the best-selling NFT collection went to Draftkings issued on Polygon, with a whopping $7,891,650 in sales. Trailing behind were Dmarket ($6.17 million), Degods ($5.03 million), Gods Unchained ($4.85 million), and Bored Ape Yacht Club ($4.46 million). The Draftkings collection saw a remarkable 359.51% increase from last week, while Degods sales were up 113.88%. Other collections that made notable profits included Tensorian Shards ($1.89 million) and Y00ts ($1.25 million).
Last week’s best-selling NFT was the Clonex NFT #9,418, which was worth $360,000 a day ago. Cryptopunk #4,757 claimed the second spot, sold for $326K about four days ago, and the third position went to Autoglyphs #203, sold for $304K. Interestingly, all five of the week’s top selling NFTs were based on Ethereum. In fact, the 30 best-selling NFTs of the week were all created on top of the Ethereum blockchain.
