Let’s face it: the NFT space moves very fast. Considering how quickly things can change in the metaverse, a week in NFTs might as well be a month IRL.
Don’t get us wrong – the more people entered the room, the merrier. But due to the constant influx of great art and ideas, it’s getting harder and harder to keep up with all the news, launches and general happenings.
Well, you can leave the days of endless Twitter and Discord scrolling behind you as we put together a weekly list of upcoming NFT drops you definitely don’t want to miss. Here’s what to watch out for this week.
Memory of Korean childhood
Who: Haunt Tongyull
What: 320 unique NFTs
When: August 8 at 11 a.m. ET

After leaving his country for the US in the 1970s, this collection mediates Tongyull’s own journey through life. The background of each individual NFT will change over time, representing a tapestry of the ‘self’ in constant, colorful movement. Presale for eligible holders
DeGods Season III
Who: The Gods
What: An art innovation. When DeGods releases with Season III, holders will own IP for four art iterations. There will be about 40,000 pieces of art in a 10,000 collection, along with some surprises.
When: August 9
Where: Degods. com
Why: An upgrade in the existing art. Frank DeGods has said that “DeGods Season III will have the same features as the current DeGods in a redesigned style/aesthetic. The reason for most post-disclosure dips is when people reveal commons and put them on the ground. Season III is not random. It is also non-diluting.” Frank also added in a podcast with Marc Colcer that one of the goals for Season III is to “rebrand, grab attention and reevaluate the brand in a new light”.
