Warner Bros recently took to Twitter to announce it would be offering The Flash on WB Movieverse, an online platform hosting the production house’s web3 catalog. The latest web3 offering has been launched in partnership with content blockchain pioneer Eluvio. The blockchain experience is currently available for preview and will go on sale on July 18, 2023.
According to a press release from Warner Bros., The Flash Web3 Movie Experience will be offered as a multimedia NFT for fans to own. The Web3 movie allows viewers to collect important art, discover digital Easter eggs, and discover hidden augmented reality (AR) collectibles. Owners of the NFT will also be able to sell the web3 movie on a community marketplace starting August 1, 2023.
“For Warner Bros., and the wider industry, it represents a new kind of immersive digital resale experience for 4K movies and premium video assets – streamed from and supported by secure blockchain access and ownership on the Eluvio Content Fabric,” said Michelle Munson , CEO and co-founder of Eluvio.
Warner Bros. and Eluvio offer The Flash as an interactive experience that allows viewers to participate in the movie by discovering hidden clues to help The Flash navigate different parts of the movie. Each purchase comes with a random key image featuring The Flash and other characters from the movie.
